Present Simple Tense

Present Simple Tense คือ Tense ที่ใช้เมื่อพูดถึงสิ่งที่เป็นความจริงโดยอาจเป็นความจริงในขณะนั้น 

เช่น  ความสามารถเฉพาะอย่างของบุคคลหนึ่ง หรือกิจวัตรประจำวัน

ของบุคคลหนึ่ง เช่น หรือสิ่งที่เป็นความจริงตลอดกาล เช่น

ปรากฏการณ์ธรรมชาติ

1. John plays football well.

2. My parents read the newspaper everyday.

3. The sun rises in the east.


วิธีการใช้ Present simple tense มีดังต่อไปนี้ คือ 

1. ใช้กับเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำที่เกิดขึ้นในปัจจุบัน หรือเกิดขณะที่พูด เช่น

Ann watches television.

Ron takes a bath in the bathroom.

2. ใช้กับเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำที่เป็นจริงตามธรรมชาติไม่ว่าจะเป็นอดีต ปัจจุบัน หรืออนาคตเช่น

Tiger is a dangerous animal.

The earth moves around the sun.

3. ใช้กับเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำที่เกิดขึ้นบ่อยๆซ้ำๆจนเป็นกิจวัตรประจำวันหรือประจำเดือน เช่น

My parents read the newspaper everyday.

Ann gets up at six o’clock every morning.


โครงสร้างประโยค

ประโยคบอกเล่า

Subject (I / You / We / They) + main verb

Subject (He / She / It) + main verb (s / es)

เช่น 

I live in London.
John drives a taxi.

กฎการเติม “ s ”หรือ “es” หลังคำกริยา

1. คำกริยาธรรมดาทั่วๆไปเติม S ได้ทันที เช่น

work - works 
live - lives 
speak - speaks 
eat - eats 

2. คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย s , ss , sh , ch , x และ o ให้เติม “es” เช่น

go - goes 
pass - passes 
watch - watches 
catch - catches 

3. คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y และหน้า y เป็นพยัญชนะให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น i แล้วเติม “es” เช่น 

cry - cries 
study - studies 
fly - flies 
dry - dries 

4. ถ้าคำกริยานั้นลงท้ายด้วย y และหน้า y เป็นสระ คือ a , e , i , o, u ให้เติม “s” ได้เลย เช่น

play - plays 
buy - buys 
delay - delays 
joy - joys 
say - says 

ประโยคปฏิเสธ

Subject (I / You / We / They) + do + not + infinitive

Subject (He / She / It) + does + not + infinitive

เช่น 

I do not live in London.

John does not drive a taxi.

ประโยคคำถามและคำตอบแบบสั้น

Do + Subject (I / You / We / They) + infinitive?

Does +Subject (He / She / It) + infinitive?

เช่น 

Do you live in London?
Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.

Does he drive a taxi?
Yes, he does. / No, he doesn’t.
