Verb to have
1. การใช้ have , has
1.1. เป็นกริยาแท้ในประโยคแปลว่า มี หรือ รับประทาน
1.2. เป็นกริยาช่วยในโครงสร้างของรูปประโยค Perfect Tense.
ในกรณีที่ have เป็นกริยาแท้ จะมีวิธีการใช้ต่างกันตามประธานของในประโยคดังต่อไปนี้
1. ประธานเป็นเอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 3 ซึ่งได้แก่ He She It หรือ ชื่อคนคนเดียว สัตว์ตัวเดียว และสิ่งของอันเดียวที่ถูกกล่าวถึง ใช้ has เช่น
*He has many cars.
*Dang has a lovely dog.
*My sister has a doll.
*This cat has four legs.

2. ประธานที่ไม่ใช่เอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 3 ทั้งหมด เช่น I, You, We และประธานพหูพจน์ เช่น They ใช้ have เช่น
*They have many cows.
*Teachers have five cars.
*I have dinner with my boyfriend.
*We have a big house.

2. การสร้างประโยคที่มี have , has ให้เป็นประโยคปฏิเสธ
เนื่องจาก have ทำหน้าที่เป็นกริยาแท้จึงต้องใช้ verb to do: do /does เข้ามาช่วย โดยใช้ต่างกันตามประธานของประโยคดังนี้ คือ
1. ถ้าประธานเป็นเอกพจน์ บุรุษที่ 3 ซึ่งได้แก่ He / She / It คนคนเดียว สัตว์ตัวเดียว
และสิ่งของอันเดียวที่ถูกกล่าวถึง ใช้ does ตามด้วย not เป็น does not ตามด้วย infinitive (have) เช่น
• He does not have a wife.
• She does not have any time.
• It does not have a tail.
• James does not have English dictionary.

2. ถ้าประธานเป็นตัวอื่นที่ไม่ใช่เอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 3 ใช้ do ตามด้วย not เป็น do not แล้วตามด้วย infinitive (have) เช่น
• They do not have any children
• We do not have any coffee at home.
• You do not have a class.
• James and Susan do not have any cars.

3. การตั้งประโยคคำถามด้วย have / has ให้ตั้งเป็นประโยคคำถามโดยใช้ verb to do (do / does) และต้องตอบคำถามด้วยคำตอบ Yes หรือ No
3.1. เอา do / does เข้ามาช่วย โดยวางไว้หน้าประโยค และต้องอยู่หน้าประธานของประโยค
3.2. ผัน do / does …ให้สอดคล้องกับประธานของประโยค
3.3. ในประโยคคำถามให้ใช้ have เพียงตัวเดียวเท่านั้น หลังจบประโยคต้องใส่เครื่องหมายคำถาม เช่น
